It's 5:00 O'clock Somewhere

Mermaid enjoying a cocktail.  There was a local restaurant that wanted all sorts of mermaid paintings for their themed business so I have been painting these ladies.  Their fun, slightly child-like but it makes me feel happy. -I hope it does the same for you.

A WORK IN PROGRESS

It has been quite some time since I have picked up a brush.  -But recently, I have become motivated by some never seen and never met 'friend' that has encouraged me to move forward. So here is a visual story, if you will I am currently working on.  I have changed many aspects of this piece and I am sure before its complete, it will evolve several times.  Please feel free to comment positively or negatively.  Criticism is certainly part of an artists 'cross' lol.  -I take no offense.  It might even help me grow.  Thanks for stopping by!

THE BEAUTIFUL MUSE

title:  Muse at Play
visit Retro Citiy Cycles to buy Cycle Themed Artwork!
My new friend & I collaborated.  I loved how he gave My Muse a voice.  Thank you ByranNottingham.
I followed him, down here again, the man, the boy. Into the pool he dives, the fool while feeling joy Sits watching, hatching thoughts that couldn't ever be. About the boy, the man, the joy, and maybe me. My muse, a bycicle did use to reach this place, And I did walk, you may say stalk, matching his pace. To sit and see, what he will be, and I will not. Oh if with him, I once could swim, shatter the thought. Now shattered, thoughts tattered, I watch him swim solo, I gather the rather distinct shades of shadow, And brushing, not rushing, my paints work to diffuse Ignition, cognition, of the man boy, the muse.

"Happy is he whom the Muses love: sweet flows speech from his mouth." Hesiod

If you like this painting, hate my paintings or just want to leave a note...please dont hesitate :)

FEATURED ARTIST

On Friday August 6, 2010, I will be the featured artist for the Lake Ivanhoe Art Stroll.  You can read an article about me here http://wftv.zipscene.com/events/view/2603011-the-art-stroll-of-ivanhoe-village-orlando .   The piece to the left is the painting the article refers to.  One of the last in a series of women who are not noticed by their significant others.   If you would like to visit my online store and gallery click the following link: http://clairsworld.mosaicglobe.com/gallery/20165

Thanks for visiting my Blog and see you at Lake Ivanhoe.
